This research aimed at finding out whether there is a correlation between students’ habits in listening English songs and students’ speaking ability at UPT SMA Negeri 18 Luwu Utara. This research applied the correlation method and it was in two meetings. The population of this research was 118 students in eleventh grade. In determining the sample, the researcher used a purposive sampling technique by taking 30 students. The instrument used in collecting the data were questionnaire and speaking test. In calculating the data, the researcher used SPSS version 25. The correlation between students’ habits in listening English songs and students’ speaking ability is obtained that the value of coefficient correlation r = 0.223 and the value of the significance (sig.2-tailed) is 0.236. Because that result is 0.236 ˃ 0.05, then H0 is accepted and H1 is rejected. Therefore, there is no significant correlation between students’ habit in listening English songs and students’ speaking ability.
