Helga Miracle Paingi. 2023. The Use of Partner Reading Strategy to Improve Students’ Reading Comprehension at SMP Kristen Rantai Damai (Supervised By Sri Rahayu and Andi Mangnguntungi S.)
Based on observations, researcher found that students’ at SMP Kristen Rantai Damai has poor reading comprehension. Therefore, this research aims at finding out whether the implementation of Partner Reading Strategy can improve Students’ reading comprehension at the eight grade students’ of SMP Kristen Rantai Damai. The method used in this research is quantitative method. The instrument used is reading test. This test is given in the form of multiple-choice with the total number is 20 questions. The data was collected truth pre-test, treatment, and post-test. The data analysis technique used are scoring the students, scoring the components of reading comprehension, mean score, standard deviation, and T-test. The result obtained that the used Partner Reading Strategy can improve reading comprehension at SMP Kristen Rantai Damai. It can be prove by the mean of post-test score (80.00) was higher than the mean of pre-test score (39.33). So, that Ha was accepted. It means there was significant implementation of Partner Reading Strategy to improve students’ reading comprehension after giving treatment.
