Camila Payangan, 2023. The Effectiveness Of Using Text Rendering Strategy In Teaching Students’ Reading Comprehension At The Eight Grade Of SMP Kristen Rantai Damai (supervised by Rizal A.M Sjachrun and Andi Mangnguntungi S).
This thesis is aimed at finding out the effectiveness of using text rendering strategy in teaching students’ reading comprehension at the Eight Grade of SMP Kristen Rantai Damai. The population of this research 30 students, but the researcher only took 20 students’ Grade Eight students of the SMP Kristen Rantai Damai to be sampled. The instrument of this research was reading test. The research method was experimental, research that consist of pretest, treatment, and posttest. The research obtained that the used Text Rendering Strategy can improve reading comprehension at SMP Kristen Rantai Damai. It can be prove by the mean of post- test score (80,00) was higher than the mean of pre-test score (39,33). So, that Ha was accepted. It means there was significant implementation of Text Rendering Strategy to improve students’ reading comprehension after giving treatment.
