Speaking is an act of communication through speaking in English. The word speaking is taken from “speak”. That is the meaning of speaking in a simple way.The objective of this research is to find out whether the use of Google Meet effective in teaching speaking at the Eleventh Grade Students of SMAN 02 Luwu. The researcher used cluster random sampling. The researcher took one class that is class XI IPA 2 as a sample and the total number of the sample were 32 students.The instrument of the research was speaking test. The result of the research reveals that the use of Google Meet discussion is effective in teaching speaking at the Eleventh Grade of SMAN 02 Luwu.
