Muhammad Fitrah Ramadhan Hamid, 2025. Analysis of Podcast Relates to Speaking Skills at Eleventh Grade Students of SMA N 5 Palopo (Supervised by Rizal A. M, Sjachrun and Edi Wahyono).
This study aims to examine the effect of podcast usage on the speaking skills of eleventh-grade students at SMA N 5 Palopo. The population of this research consists of 9 classes, and the sample includes 25 students. This study employs a descriptive method with a quantitative approach. Data were collected through questionnaires distributed to the 25 students selected randomly. Among the 25 students in the sample, the majority reported that podcasts helped them speak more fluently and confidently. Many students also felt that podcasts had a positive impact on improving their intonation and the effective use of pauses while speaking. Additionally, podcasts supported several students in honing their public speaking skills, although many students provided neutral responses regarding the influence of podcasts on their ability to speak without pauses or understand clear pronunciation. The results of the study indicate a positive impact of podcasts on the speaking skills of eleventh-grade students at SMA N 5 Palopo.
