SUKMAWATI. 2025. Using Quizizz in Game-Based Learning to Improve Students’ Vocabulary Achievement (supervised by Edi Wahyono and Hafirah Patang).
This research aims to find out whether Quizizz is effective in teaching vocabulary at the tenth grade of SMAN 6 Palopo. The method that use in this research is pre-experimental method. The population of this research is the tenth grade students of SMAN 6 Palopo, and the total sample are 25 students. The researcher use cluster random sampling as the technique to get the sample. The instrument of this research is vocabulary test and questionnaire. The data show that there is a difference result between pre-test and post-test. The mean score of the students’ pre-test is 50.40 and 87.40 in the post-test. Furthermore, the result of computation of t-test show P-value < α (0.00<0.05). It means that, null hypothesis (Hօ ) rejected and alternative hypothesis (Ha) is accepted. So, there is a significant difference between the result pre-test and post-test after the treatment. Additionally, the results of the questionnaire show that most of the students agreed with all the positive statements. Therefore, the researcher concluded that the use of Quizizz is effective in improving students’ vocabulary and that they have an interest in learning through Quizizz, as seen in the tenth grade at SMAN 6 Palopo.
