The objective of this research is to find the effectiveness of using podcast video to enhance students‟ speaking skills and listening comprehension. The researcher used quantitative method with pre-experimental design in which attempts to investigate whether or not podcast video has significant effective to enhance students‟ speaking skills with focused on students‟ vocabulary, fluency, and comprehension and also for students in their listening comprehension. The researcher used quantitative method and pre-experimental design were the research subject being 31 students of class X. Data were collected by conducting pre-test and post-test. The result of this research shows that the use of podcast video can enhance the speaking skills and listening comprehension of the tenth grade students at SMAN 2 Palopo. It can be seen from the mean score of students in pre-test and post-test. The mean score of students speaking skills in pre-test was 60.397 lower than students score in post-test 75.877. Whereas, The mean score of students‟ listening comprehension in pre-test was 45.16 lower than students score in post-test 73.39. In addition, sig. (2-tailed) < α (0.000 < 0.05) means that there is a significant difference between learning outcomes in pre-test and post-test data, which means H0 is rejected and Ha is accepted. This research was focused on students‟ vocabulary, pronunciation, comprehension while speaking test, and students‟ listening comprehension. Based on the results after giving the treatments, it can be concluded that podcast video was an effective in enhancing students‟ speaking skills and listening comprehension at the tenth grade of SMAN 2 Palopo.
