Sriwahyuni. 2024. Using the Wattpad Learning Method in Teaching Reading Comprehension (Reski Yusrini Islamiah Yunus and Rahmawati Upa').
This research aims to improve students' reading comprehension in class VIII SMPN 4 Palopo through the use of the Think Pair and Share method. The population in this study was class VIII-C students at SMPN 4 Palopo with a total population in this study of 475 students. This research used simple random sampling with 25 students in class VIII-B as a technique to obtain samples. Researchers used tests as instruments. Researchers used quantitative methods with a pre-experimental research design. Data collection was carried out by conducting a pre-test, treatment and post-test. This can be seen from the students' average scores on the pre-test and post-test. The average student score on the pre-test was 60.04, lower than the average student score on the post-test, namely 84.48. Apart from that, the sig (2-tailed) ˂ α (0.000 ˂ 0.05) value means that there is a significant difference between learning outcomes in pre-test and post-test data. Therefore, H0 is rejected and H1 is accepted. It can be concluded that using the Wattpad application can improve students' reading comprehension in Class Eight of SMPN 4 Palopo.
