This study examines students‟ perceptions of TikTok as a platform related to their listening activities in the English Education Study Program at Cokroaminoto Palopo University. The research employed a mixed-methods design involving a questionnaire of 20 statements completed by 50 students and semi-structured interviews conducted with 15 participants. The findings show that students generally perceive TikTok positively as a medium that supports various listening activities, including watching short English videos, replaying content, recognizing vocabulary through repeated exposure, and engaging with authentic spoken English. Using five listening stages by Tyagi, the analysis reveals that students‟ listening activities on TikTok correspond to the stages of hearing, understanding, remembering, evaluating, and responding. The Technology Acceptance Model further explains that students perceive TikTok as useful and easy to use, which increases their motivation to continue engaging in listening activities through the platform. This study concludes that TikTok functions as an informal and accessible environment that facilitates meaningful listening activities beyond the classroom.
