The objective of the research is to describe the students’ perception of the teacher that use Bahasa Indonesia in teaching English learning classroom. The
population of this research is the elevent grade SMKN 4 Palopo in academic year
2020/2021. The researcher use random sampling technique with 21 samples. The
method of this research is descriptive quantitative method with a survey through
an online Likert scale questionnaire. The questionnaire was analyzed based on the
percentage of each answer. To calculate questionnaire data into percentage, the
reasearcher used the formula where the number of frequency is multiplied to
100% then divided to the number of the total respondents. The results of this
study indicated that the students of SMKN 4 Palopo have positive perspective of
teacher in using Bahasa Indonesia with mean score of 68.75 in learning English.
Based on the survey through the questionnaire, students’ answers of agree and
strongly agree which dominated the questionnaire, while the students’ answer of
disagree and strongly disagree are not significantly occurred.
