SISKA DEVI. 2021. Using Chuchu Tv to Improve Students’ Vocabulary of Seventh Grade SMP Negeri 3 Bajo. (Supervised by Mualiadi M.Pd And Rahmawati Upa M.Pd).

This research aims to determine of Chuchu Tv in teaching vocabulary at seventh grade of SMP Negeri 3 Bajo. The method that use in this research is pre experimental design. The population of this research is the seventh grade students
of SMP Negeri 3 Bajo, and the total sample are 25 students. The researcher use
cluster random sampling technique in determining the sample. The instrument of
this research is vocabulary test. The results of this research indicated that after
using the Chuchu Tv in teaching vocabulary at seventh grade of SMP Negeri 3
Bajo increases. This shows that there are significant differences between student
scores in pre-test and post-test. The mean score of the students’ pre-test is 53.52
and 81.60 in the post-test. Furthermore, the result of computation of t-test show P
value < α (0.00. with degree of freedom N-1 (25-1=24). It means that, null
hypothesis (H0) rejected and alternative hypothesis (H1) accepted. So, there is
significant difference between the result of pre-test and post-test after the
treatment. Therefore, the researcher concludes that Chuchu Tv is effective in
teaching vocabulary at seventh grade of SMP Negeri 3 Bajo.
