A UMMI KALSUM. 2025, The Effectiveness of Kahoot to Improve The Students’ Vocabulary Mastery at The Seventh Grade of SMPN 2 Malili (Supervisor by Andi MangnguntungiS.Pd., M.Pd. and Reski Yusrini Islamiah Yunus, S.Pd., M.Pd.)
This study aims to determine whether the use of Kahoot can improve students' comprehension. This research is quantitative with a pre-experimental one- group pretest and posttest design. Data collection in this study was conducted using test instruments: a pretest and posttest administered to determine students' initial abilities before receiving the treatment, and a posttest administered after receiving the treatment to determine their ability to understand the material. The tests were in the form of multiple-choice questions and essays. The tests were administered to 32 respondents, students of SMP Negeri 2 Malili. Data analysis was performed using the normality test and the Wilcoxon test. The results obtained were significant (2-tailed), namely 0.000 < 0.05, indicating a significant difference between the average pretest and posttest scores of students. Since the value is 0.000 < 0.05, it can be concluded that the hypothesis is accepted. This indicates that the alternative hypothesis (Hi) is accepted, and the null hypothesis (Ho) is rejected. This indicates a difference in student learning outcomes using Kahoot in the pretest and posttest. Therefore, it can be concluded that there has been an improvement in the use of Kahoot in the learning process.
