The objective of the research is to improve students' vocabulary mastery in
english subjects through text twist game.The population of this research is the
seventh grade students in SMP Islam Uswatun Hasanah at academic year
2020/2021. The researcher uses purpose sampling with 31 samples. This research
used pre-experimental method. Then the researcher analyzes the data by using
SPSS. The result shows that mean score of pre-test is 31,77 and the post-test is
50,65. The reseacher also find result that the P-value is 0,000 and the α is
0,05,therefore P < α (0.000 < 0.05). It proves that alternative ypothesis (H1) is
accepted and the null hypothesis (H0) is rejected.It means there is significance
improvement between the result of pre-test and post-test of students’ in
vocabulary mastery after treatment by using Text twist method. Therefore, the
resecher concludes that using text twist games can improve the seventh grade
students’ vocabulary mastery of SMP Islam Uswatun Hasanah.
