The aim of this research were to figure out (1) students' learning styles in learning English at SMA Negeri 19 Luwu, (2) whether there was a significant
difference between students' reading comprehension based on their learning
styles. The method used was descriptive quantitative by providing learning style
questionnaires and reading comprehension tests to 20 respondents at SMA Negeri
19 Luwu. The results of this research indicate that there were 30% of students
who are visual learners, 45% of students who are auditory learners and 25% of
students are kinesthetic learners. The percentage showed that auditory learners
were the highest percentage of learning styles among the learning style groups at
SMA Negeri 19 Luwu. Besides that, from the results of the students' reading
comprehension test, the researcher used one-way ANOVA test which showed that
there was no significant difference in students' reading comprehension based on
visual, auditory and kinesthetic learning styles because the result showed that the
F value (0.024) is lower than the F-table value (3.592). Then the p value (0.976) is
greater than 0.05. So, it can be concluded that H0 is accepted and H1 is rejected.
