Musdalipa Judir.2021. An Analysis of Teachers Strategies in Teaching Reading Comprehension at SMAN 17 Luwu (supervised by Sri Damayanti and Andi Mangnguntungi Sudirman).

The research aim to find out, what the teachers strategies at the opening activity in teaching reading comprehension at SMAN 17 Luwu, The research method is a qualitative descriptive method, The researcher used purposive
sampling and then the researcher analyzed the data. The subject of this research
were an English teacher at SMAN 17 Luwu. The instrument of this research was
observation and interview. The results of the study found that the three strategies
used by the teacher, 1) The conclusions are based on the strategy of the English
teacher in opening activities begins with greetings, praying, asking for news,
checking students attendance, and directing the topic to be discussed, 2) As for
the data about the strategy of the English teacher, in essence, the activity begins
with stimulation according to the lesson, conveying the essence of learning,
students are allowed to ask the question and conclude learning results, 3) the
strategy of the English teacher in the closing activity, the teacher gives a final
assessment and asks students to conclude the material, and students are not given
homework..
