Megawati.2020. Students‟ Errors in Translating Descriptive Text at SMAN 1 Batuputih (supervised by Sri Damayanti and Fibri Indira Lisanty AD)

This research aims to find out students‟ errors in translating descriptive
text at SMAN 1 Batuputih. This research used descriptive quantitative method.
The population of this research is class XI Mipa sejuk, amounting to 20 students.
The instrument of this research is test. To analyze the data, the researcher used the
formula where, total number of students errors is multiplied to 100% then divided
to total items of the error. The results of this research shows that there are 53.5%
students who made omission errors, 10.7% students who made addition errors,
9.0% students who made misinformation errors and 26.8% students made
misordering errors. This the dominant or highest error in translating descriptive
text is omission.
