Marhama.2021. The Influence of Partner Reading Strategy to Improve Students’ Reading Comprehension at The Eighth Grade Students of SMP Negeri 2 Bua Ponrang (Supervised By Rizal A.M. Sjachrun and Rahmawati Upa)

This research aim at finding out whether the implementation of Partner
Reading Strategy can improve Students’ reading comprehension at the eight grade
students’ of SMP Negeri 2 Bua Ponrang. The method used in this research is
quantitative method. The instrument used is reading test. This test is given in the
form of multiple-choice with the total number is 20 questions. The data was
collected truth pre-test, treatment, and post-test. The data analysis technique used
are scoring the students, scoring the components of reading comprehension, mean
score, standard deviation, and T-test. The result obtained that the used Partner
Reading Strategy can improve reading comprehension at SMP Negeri 2 Bua
Ponrang. It can be prove by the mean of post-test score (75.00) was higher than
the mean of pre-test score (41.25). So, that Ha was accepted. It means there was
significant implementation of Partner Reading Strategy to improve students’
reading comprehension after giving treatment.
