The main objective of the research is to investigate types of assessment method are used by the teacher in assessing the students reading comprehension
via online at SMP Datok Sulaiman Palopo. The researcher took all English teacher
in SMP Datok Sulaiman Palopo as the subject of the research. There was 1
English teacher in SMP Datok Sulaiman Palopo. The instrument of the research
were observation and interview. The result of the research reveals that there are
some types of assessment method used by the teachers in assessing the students
reading comprehension via online at SMP Datok Sulaiman Palopo. Those are
Yes-No Questions, True or False questions, WH questions, and Multiple-Choice
Questions. It can also be seen that the types of assessment methods are not used
by the teacher in assessing the students reading comprehension via online namely;
matching, gapped texts, proofreading, and open-ended questions
