Wesri Gelviani 2022. Grammatical Errors Made by the Students in Writing Descriptive Text at SMP Negeri 1 Lamasi (supervised by Hafirah Patang and Musfirah)

The main objective of the research is to find out the grammatical errors
made by the students in writing descriptive text at SMP negeri 1 Lamasi. The
researcher used random sampling technique to take the samples, and total number
of the sample were 20 students. The instrument of the research was wriritng test.
The result of the research reveals that there are some grammatical errors made by
the students at SMP Negeri 1 Lamasi in writing descriptive text. Those are
omission, addition, missformation, and missordering errors. It indicates that the
students face too much difficulties in writing descriptive text and the errors made
by the students show that they have low ability in writing descriptive text.
