This research aims at determine the effectiveness of using animation video in teaching students’ pronunciation ability at the tenth grade students of SMA
PGRI Walenrang. The method of this research is quantitative method. The writer applied cluster sampling. The sample has been taken from one class and the total
number of the sample was 25 students. The instrument research used
pronunciation test. Data collection used pre-test, treatment, and post-test. Then the
writer analyzed the data by using SPSS 24. The finding of this research showed
that there are significant differences between students’ score in pre-test 46,64.
Classified poor is lower than in the post-test is 74,92. Cassified reasonably good
furthermore, the writer found that (0.05) was higher than the p-value (0.00). It
indicates that H0 was rejected and H1 was accepted. It means that using animation
video to improve students’ pronunciations ability, it can be proven by the result of
pre-test and post-test. There fore, the writer concluded that use of the animation
video is effective to improve students’ pronunciation ability.
