Aliyah Warda, 2024. The Effectiveness of Quantum Learning Model to Improve Student Speaking Skill at the XI Grade SMKN 1 Palopo (Supervised by Andi Mangnguntungi and Rahmawati Upa)
The purpose of this research was to determine the effectiveness of quantum learning models in class XI students of SMKN 1 Palopo. The population of this study was 527 students. The sample of this study was 29 students. The author used pre-experimental design. The instrument of this research is a speaking test. This research was conducted in July-August 2024 at SMKN 1 Palopo. Based on the data analysis in table 7, the statistical results of the two samples studied, namely the pre-test and post-test scores: For the pre-test value, the average learning outcome or mean is 44.69, while for the post-test value, the average learning outcome is 61.79. The number of respondents or students used as research samples was 29. The value of Std. Deviation on the pre-test was 19.124 and for the post-test was 17.103. The final value is the value of Std. Error Mean for the pre-test of 3.551 and for the post-test of 3.346. The results of data analysis using the SPSS version 26 program show that the value (α) is higher than (p) (0.05> 0.000). From these data, the author can conclude that the null hypothesis (H0) is rejected and the alternative hypothesis (H1) is accepted. By using quantum learning in the learning process, students are more confident, creative, enjoy, focus, and also not bored in the classroom. It can be concluded that using quantum learning is effective in improving the speaking ability of class XI students of SMKN 1 Palopo.
