This study aims to determine the correlation between attendance and
achievement in grade II students of SMA Negeri 3 Palopo. The method used is the
application of 2 methods through questionnaires and tests to 35 respondents. Data
were analyzed using quantitative description and statistical analysis. From the
results of research that has been carried out by researchers, it can be concluded
that there is a correlation between student attendance and achievement in English
learning at the tenth grade students of SMAN 3 Palopo of 0.949. In particular, it
can be concluded: The level of student attendance in English learning at the tenth
grade student’s of SMAN 3 Palopo is 94.85% and is classified as high. The result
of achievement in English learning at the tenth grade student’s of SMAN 3
Palopo is 80.65 and is classified as moderate/good enough. There is a positive
relationship between the level of attendance and the learning outcomes of class X
SMAN 3 Palopo with a contribution of 90.06%. This means that the increase in
the variable X (attendance level) is offset by the variable Y (student achievement
results), or the decrease in the variable X is offset by the variable Y
