Nurulhijrah. 2021. The Effects of Reading Habits on Vocabulary Mastery Ability of the Ninth Grade Students’ at SMP Negeri 1 Baebunta (supervised by Rizal A.M. Sjachrun and Suhardi).

The aim of the research was to determine whether or not there are any effects
of reading habits on vocabulary mastery ability of the Ninth Grade Students’ at
SMP Negeri 1 Baebunta. The method was applied quantitative descriptive. The
number of sample took was 20 students. In determining the sample used
purposive sampling. The instrument used in this research were questionnaires and
tests. The data collected use a questionnaire was for the variable X (reading
habits), while the data used the test was for the variable Y (vocabulary mastery).
The result of data analyze that researcher found used simple linear regression
were Y = 37.537 + 1.945. And the result of hypothesis test used t-test showed that
thit = 3.827 and ttab = 2.101 (thit > ttab). This mean that there was an influenced
of reading habits on students' vocabulary mastery or Ha is accepted and Ho is
rejected.
