The purpose of this study was to determine the average level of students' speaking
skills during online learning using Zoom meetings. In this quantitative descriptive
study, the participants were students in SMAN 3 Palopo, with twenty students
selected using a random sampling procedure. In this study, a test was applied as
an instrument. There are twenty students and four categories of speaking skills.
The category with the highest total percentage, 50 percent, is comprehension.
With a score of 30%, the pronunciation category got the lowest score. The
research found that the difference between the four categories was not too
significant based on the percentage of students speaking. Therefore, the average
score of students' Speaking Skills could improve their level of speaking ability.
Students' average speaking skill score is 68.5, which comes into a very good
category. As a result, students from SMA 3 Palopo at the Zoom meeting had a
very strong speaking ability.
