This study discusses the techniques used by English teachers on fostering
learning motivation at eleventh grade students of SMK Negeri 4 Palopo. The
purpose of this study is to explain the techniques used by English teachers on
fostering learning motivation at eleventh grade students of SMK Negeri 4 Palopo
and provide many benefits for teachers, students, and writers so that in the future
this research can help in terms of knowledge and have a far-reaching impact. This
research uses a qualitative descriptive method. The subject of this research is
English teacher at eleventh grade students. The research location is SMK Negeri 4
Palopo. The sample in this study used purposive sampling techniques. This
research instrument provides 5 interview questions to the English teachers. The
data collection procedure in this study used observation, interviews, and
documentation. Data analysis techniques in this study used data reduction, data
presentation, and drawing conclusions. The results of this study are the English
teachers at fostering students' learning motivation at eleventh grade students of
SMK Negeri 4 Palopo by using different techniques, including the discussion
technique approach, and question and answer technique.
