This study discusses the analyse of students perception toward English learning at SMPN 2 Tomoni Timur. This study describes how students’perceptions of online English learning at SMPN 2 Tomoni Timur. This study is
limited to analyzing students’ perceptions of using applications such as what Sapp
and zoom. In this study, the writer uses a qualitative method.The subjects of this
study were seventh grade students of SMPN 2 Tomoni Timur. The total number
of students is 10 students.The research instrument is an interview. In collecting
data the writer was came to SMPN 2 Tomoni Timur to the research.The
techniques for collecting data in this study are data reduction, data collection, and
drawing conclusions or verification. The results of the research on how students
perceive online English learning is less effective this is because students do not
understand the material optimally.When learning English online students are
constrained by the weakness of the mobile phone network in accessing the
material so students must find a place where the network can support the learning
process, and not all students in the online English learning process have sufficient
data packages so that students who do not have automatic data packages in the
learning process is not fully followed so that students miss some material.
