The purposes of the study were to find out the students‟ responses toward the
application of educational videos in fostering interest in learning about students
vocabulary and to find out whether the use of educational videos could increase
students vocabulary. This study used quantitative method. The researcher applied
pre-experimental with pretest, and posttest design. Based on these data, the
researcher concludes that the use of educational videos in teaching vocabulary can
foster students interest in learning and increase vocabulary knowledge. The results
of the analysis showed that there was a significant different between the mean
value of the pre-test (50.95) and the post-test (83.33). In addition, it can also be
seen by comparing the results of the t-test where (p-value) is smaller than the
significant level (α) (0.000<0.05). Thus, H0 is rejected and H1 is accepted.
