Jagat. 2022. Factors Influencing Students Interest in Reading English Text at the Eleventh Grade of SMAN 2 Luwu. (Supervised by Paldy and Hafirah Patang)

The objective of the reasearch is to find out the factors influencing students’ interest in reading English text at the eleventh grade of SMAN 2 Luwu.
The population of the research is all the students of class XI IPS SMAN 2 LUWU.
The researcher used descriptive research with 28 samples. The instrument of the
research is questionnaire. From some of factor described, that the most affected
factor is the teacher’s factor. Based on the answer to students from the result of
students’ questionnaire more dominantly answer to positive factors that affect the
students’ interest interest in reading. This isi because students are only to learn to
read when they get the direction of the teacher
