The objective of this research was to find out how Teacher using CSR (collaborative strategy reading) in Teaching Reading Comrprehension at
SMPN 1 Walenrang. To conduct this study the researcher using interview
guidelines and observation checklists. This research was conducted on English
teachers and students of class VIII SMP Negeri 1 Walenrang. The method was
used the Qualitative descriptive research as a case study. The Case of the study
was a research analysis an issue an problem. In this context, the issue or problem
was about teacher strategy in teaching English reading comprehension. The result
of this study showed that there are 4 step that teacher use in Collaborative
Strategic Reading (CSR) in teaching reading comprehension namely; Preview,
Click and Clunk, Get the Gist and Wrap Up.
