The main objective of the research is to find out Teachers’ Perception Toward Online
Learning Media at SMPN 7 PALOPO. The subject of the research english is teachers of SMPN 7
Palopo. The instrument of the research was interview structure. The result of the research reveals
that the teachers perception in the selection of online learning media where the teachers
perceived that in the selection of media in online learning, of course online media must be used
that can facilitate learning for students and one of the online learning media that can be used is
the Whatsapp application. The teachers perceived that Whatsapp application is effective and easy
to use, the features are helpful, save internet quota, very light, easy to do communication, easy to
observe the students, in addiction to using Whatsapp, teachers also use zoom is also necessary in
online learning. The teachers perceived that the media can make easier to interact with students,
providing variety in online learning, creating effective online learning active and making easier
for the students understand the material.
