This study aims to determine the effectiveness of animated teaching media to improve students‟ listening skills at MTs Al-Falah Lemahabang. This research was conducted at MTs Al-Falah lemahabang. This type of research is a pre
experimental research with pre-test, treatment, and post-test designs. This research used a random sampling technique where the researcher took 23 students as
research samples. In this research, the writer used observation, documentation and showing animated videos as research instruments. The results showed that the method using animated teaching media was an effective method to improve students‟ listening skill competence. This can be seen from the students‟ scores on the pre-test, where the average score on pre-test was 40.48 and the post-test was 64.36 This can also be seen by comparing the results of the t-test where the tvalue is smaller than the significant level (a) (0.000<0.05) . Thus, H0 is rejected and H1 is accepted. Based on the results of the study, the researchers concluded
that the use of animated teaching media was effective in improving students‟ listening skill.
