Ayu Elvira DL. 2022. The Use of Story Face Strategy in Improving students’
Reading Comprehension at the Eighth Grade Junior High School. (Supervised by

This research aimed to improve students’ reading comprehension. The
subject of this research was the eighth grade students of SMPN 3 Baebunta and
this research use quantitative method. The researcher used pre-experimental
design. There were 29 participants attending the process. The data revealed that
the students improved their ability to comprehend the reading elements of
narrative text in identifying details of story elements and understanding the
meaning. The results of the analysis showed that there was a significant different.
The mean value of the pre-test was 50.00 and the post-test was 74.66. It can also
be seen by comparing the results of the t-test where t value smaller than the
signifiicant level (α) (0.000<0.05). Thus,

on the results of the study, the researcher concluded that the use of story face
strategy can improve the students reading comprehension.
