This research aims to find out the use of English songs can increase students’ listening ability at SMK Negeri 3 Luwu. This research was a pre- experimental design, namely the one-group, pretest-posttest design. The sampling technique in this research was cluster random sampling. Data were analyzed by SPSS. Research results show that the mean rank in positive ranks on the pre-test and the post-test was 14.00 and the sum of ranks was 378.00. Where the Asymp. Sig. (2-tailed) is 0.000 and the alpha is 0.05. It means that there is a significant difference between the pre-test and post-test after being given treatment by using English songs. At the first meeting in treatment, as many as 48% of students were able to answer the evaluation given, at the second meeting as many as 51%, the third meeting as many as 59% of students, and at the last meeting as many as 70% of students were able to answer the evaluation given. Each meeting makes students’ performance better. Using English songs can provides positive atmosphere for students and they enjoy the learning process. Therefore, using English songs can increase students’ listening ability in solving sentence completion test.
