The objective of the research is to find out teacher techniques in teaching vocabulary via online at SMP Datok Sulaiman Palopo. The population of this research is the English teacher of SMP Datok Sulaiman Palopo at Academic Year 2021/2022. The researcher applied random sampling technique in determining the sample. The instrument of the research was interview. Then the data collected from interview was analyzed qualitatively by using the theory assumed by Mile Huberman (2014). The researcher concludes that the teacher's technique in teaching is also an important point that must be underlined because it will determine the level of student interest in the learning process in other words an effective learning process will affect student learning outcomes. The result shows that three teaching techniques used by the teacher in learning process are reading aloud, memorizing and applying the vocabulary in daily activities.
